Tony Roma's @ NU Sentral

The first time I ate at Tony Romas was in Singapore about 10 years ago. I was very impressed with the steak, as Tony Romas is world famous for it's signature dish: baby back ribs. At that time, Tony Romas served three types of steak that is beef, lamb and pork. That was the first time I tried pork steak in Singapore. At that time there was no branch in Malaysia yet. Tony Romas opened it's first restaurant here at Sunway Pyramid in 2006 and as time goes on, it now has 10 Tony Roma's restaurant here in Malaysia. But in Malaysia, no pork is served in all Tony Romas restaurants. Tony Romas has since made a name in Malaysia, patronized by big celebrities in Malaysia including Malaysia Prime Minister.

Last week I went to Tony Romas with my daughter at NU Sentral. Nu Sentral is the newest mall in Brickfields and it is conveniently connected to KL Sentral. We came across Tony Romas while looking for lunch in NU Sentral and we decided to try it out since my daughter would like to try out their food. 

After looking through the menu, we decided to try out half rack of Lamb Ribs. We also ordered Dessert Trio which have 3 types of desserts in a plate and plain water. Apparently Tony Romas charged their customers for plain water (RM0.90 per glass) but you can refill it for free. 

Tony Romas provide a complimentary bread as the appetizer. It is a mini loaf of French Bread and garlic butter is served at the side of the bread. The bread is really crusty and hard and my daughter loves it very much. 

After we had our appetizer, the succulent Lamb Ribs is served. The Lamb Ribs is tender, moist and the honey plum sauce complements well with the ribs. The portion is enough for both of us and as we need to leave rooms in our stomach for desserts. This Lamb Roma costs RM59.90 a set.

Dessert Trio is great for people with sweet tooth. It has three different types of desserts namely Strawberry Cheese Cake, Red Velvet Cake and Raspberry Brownie Royale, This is a great bargain as you get to try out 3 of their desserts at an affordable price. Strawberry Cheese Cake is my favorite among the three while my daughter's favourite is Red Velvet Cake. The desserts have a soft texture and it is not too overpowering with the taste and richness. 

Overall, I had a great time eating out at Tony Romas with my daughter and the ambience is relaxing. Although the amount of food we ordered may seems to be little, but it was very filling as the portion is quite big. Tony Roma's in NU Sentral provided us with great services and we would definitely come back again next time.
