Then he started explaining "chicken rice is tasty, nutritious, convenient, a wholesome meal, no fuss and available in most coffee shops/restaurants" Very true as usually when we sit down in a restaurant, we will start looking around and thinking what to eat ar.. , taking so much time and effort, suddenly his chicken rice is already on the table! "Simple and fast, why you fellas crack your head so much?" he said laughingly! Ok, so here we are at Restaurant Kong Sai, the chicken expert.
Herbal Black Chicken in Coconut shell - RM18.00
Whenever I go around Bandar Puteri, Puchong during weekends at dinner time, I noticed that this Restaurant Kong Sai was always full with people standing outside waiting. Curious but I didn't have the chance to try it. Therefore, I was glad when the Kinrara branch was opened, and it has been my regular lunch/dinner place since then. Restaurant Kong Sai is famous for its steam chicken and soups. The famous Black Pepper stomach soup is spicy as it is full of punch of pepper. But the number one soup for me here is this Herbal Black Chicken in coconut shell, which is limited edition for the day meaning it will be all gone if you go late. Chinese like to cook this traditional black chicken with herbs as it gives lots of health benefits. Steaming it in coconut shell enhances further the taste.
