Horsing around in The Barn at Citta Mall, Ara Damansara

What a surprise when I see a real horse walking into a Bar! It's the first time in my life! Barnabus the horse is so elegant walking into The BAR°N to officiate the opening of the fourth outlet of The BAR°N on the ground floor at Citta Mall, Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya.

The official launch of the The BAR°N was on 22 January 2017 started with the opening speech by Ms. Candice Lee, one of The BAR°N's founders, graced by Barnabus the horse and local comic sensation Andrew Netto. 

 

 Ms. Candice Lee, one of the BAR°N’s founders, said "Our success story lies in the elements that make up our unique culture and offering.  It’s about creating that WOW experience, not only for our guests, but also for our employees, our business partners and just about everyone we come into contact with". Following The BAR°N's culture of delivering unique experiences and offerings to guests, this latest outlet was officiated in atypical fashion – by a horse. 

 Oh yes, the media went frenzy horse racing among themselves during this launch. Mr. Walter Vijay, veteran horse racing commentator liven up the atmosphere in the Barn commenting on the blogger and media's name as horses' name  and sees them 'horse-racing' through his binoculars that is made up of 'two glasses', haha! Yours truly is particularly thrilled too as there is a horse named Secret-spices in the race too. The prize for the winner is of course a bottle of wine ^-^ sponsored by the Barn.

The next round of fun came from Andrew Netto, Malaysian Stand-up Comedian entertaining guest with jokes on horses and his family names. 

The BAR°N prides itself in allowing guests to bask in the establishment’s seductive ambience. Its surroundings are modern, chic and alluring, appealing to diners and discerning social bugs who simply enjoy stunning flavours, unique dishes and amazing drinks.

The Barn has a wide variety of menu and selections of steaks, tapas, crispy pork belly and even Bak Kut Teh for a typical chinese filling meal. The culinary masterpieces and sensory experiences are produced by Head Chef Marcus from Vineyard.

Happy hour starts from noon to 9pm, with the house pouring wine starting at around RM10 a glass. There are extensive selection of wine of more than 250 brands, priced from Spanish at RM98 a bottle to Australian, French and others to above RM300. If you are a handcrafted drinks enthusiast, here is a treasure with a wonderful menu of specialty cocktails. Classic drinks -  from Long Island Tea to extreme shooters - are done with aplomb .
