A hidden gem in Muar, a Kopitiam popular with people of all races. I drove around twice along the main road Jalan Temenggong Ahmad, looking for a big name or a signboard but couldn't find any with this name of Kheng Ping Kopitiam along the road. The only sign of a restaurant is when I saw people walking around the area holding packets of food and drinks! Okay, so this Kheng Ping Kopitiam must be nearby here.
All the tables are full, so I have to share a table with someone else! The owners are over 70 years old couple and this is a family-run business. They are so busy, serving those seated and also have to serve the long queues of people standing and waiting for takeaway food.
Therefore, when I ordered, there is no response at all as he is busy toasting the bread, making drinks, and also preparing the eggs. They do not employ any helper to serve or collect back the empty plates or cups.
I really salute this senior couple. They are so hardworking and it is really hard work operating a Kopitiam on their own without employing any workers. So, I was very happy when my breakfast is finally served!
For toasted bread, it is charcoal toasted and the bread is fresh local bread. Not the normal sandwich bread from shops. It is thicker, smoother and whiter. Nice!
The half-boiled eggs are big and cooked at just the right temperature. So delicious!
This whole set cost only RM10.00 |
Preparing for Takeaway Mee Rebus |
This is a restaurant complemented by a stall selling local Malay food such as Nasi Lemak, Johor Lontong, Mee Rebus, Satay and others. I notice many Malays eating here. People mostly order nasi lemak and the signature half-boiled eggs.
Chicken Satay- well-marinated meat and grilled to perfection, yummy |
This Pak Cik operating here for more than 30 years |
This Pak Cik selling satay told me "I have been selling at this place for more than 30 years.". A jovial guy and he is very sporting and doesn't mind having his photo taken. The grilling of Satay uses a modern electric grill. Wow, how innovative, he can save time and can go help his family prepare other food.
The name of this modest Kopitiam can only be seen inside here, the size of it is also not big. In fact, initially, I was looking for it all over the place.
Good food does not need lavish, elaborate ambiance. Just some simple chairs and tables, yet people still keep coming back to eat. Do let me know in the comments any other food you like about this restaurant.

Payment gateway integration refers to the process of connecting a website or application with a payment gateway service. This allows users to securely make online transactions, such as purchasing goods or services, using their credit or debit cards.
ReplyDeleteThe process of integrating a payment gateway typically involves the following steps:
1. Selecting a payment gateway provider: This includes researching and comparing different providers based on their fees, security features, and supported payment methods.
2. Signing up for an account: Once you have selected a payment gateway provider, you will need to sign up for an account to access their integration documentation and support.
3. Obtaining an API key: Your payment gateway provider will give you an API key that you will use to connect your website or application with their service.
4.Implementing the integration: The payment gateway provider will give you integration instructions, typically in the form of code snippets, that you will need to add to your website or application to complete the integration.
5.Testing the integration: Once you have implemented the integration, you should test it to ensure that it is working correctly and that all transactions are being processed securely.
It's important to note that different payment gateway providers may have different integration requirements, so be sure to carefully read and follow their documentation. Additionally, some providers may require additional steps such as compliance check and PCI DSS certification to be done.
