Bring your kids for a fun-filled educational adventure on marine species and ocean conversation at IPC shopping mall this school holidays. From 24 February till 5 March 2023, IPC shopping mall's concourse had turn into Occean plaground. This is the largest and first sustainable balloon installation in Malaysia. 85,000 pieces of 100% biodegradable qualatex ballons are used to make life sizes of endangered ocean marine life. Calling all, especially children, Be ocean heroes to the rescue! There are many programs to take part in too.
"Malaysia is one of the top plastic ocean polluters in the world, thus IPC is proud to be able to do its duty to create awareness and educate children on endangered species of marine life" said Ms Karyn Lim, General Manager of IPC Shopping CeMs center. "IPC strives to include green efforts into everyday business, hopes to continue setting the benchmark and being the role model to inspire and encourage more people to embrace an environmental mindset,” she added.
Bringing this largest installation of balloons to life are 20 world-renowned balloon sculpture artists from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Malaysia. This team was led by Malaysian Balloon Master, Joseph Ho, and Taiwan’s Godfather of Balloons, Ho Kun Leong, who have worked together on multiple occasions, and have won Gold at the 5th World Balloon Convention in San Diego, California in 2018.
