Ramadan Buffet 2023, Citarasa Zaman Berzaman at Seri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Zende Restaurant

 

Cuisines handed down from generation to generation, this is epic for a food blogger like me! Yes, let's go to Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur for Ramadan Buffet at Zende Restaurant that is themed "Citarasa Zaman Berzaman". Treat yourself and your loved ones to a nostalgic culinary experience and this promotion is available from 25 March - 20 April 2023. 

There are over 200  types of spread ranging from classic creamy stew-like soup boiled with onions and spices called 'Sup Gearbox', to meaty spiced congee called 'Bubur Lambuk' to Asam Pedas Daging Tetel, a well known dish amongst the Southern people of Melaka. 

There are many other counter stations with an array of both western and local delicacies such as pancakes, noodle soup, and of course the Zende's Restaurant specialty - the tender roasted Kambing Panggang. I like the oven-baked oyster and mussels the most here.

Beautifully curated fruits, there are many different types of fruits here from rambutans, grapes, longan, dragon fruit and water melon.

The last, and the best is the mouth-watering desserts that are so attractively created and arranged! From the many different traditional Malay desserts (kuih) and snacks such as Lepat Pisang, Tepung Pelita, Kuih keria, Rengas to cakes, puddings, and snacks. Oh yes, the Serawa Durian here is thick and creamy, very tasty, and I saw many guests had two bowls. 

Well, as famous American chef Thomas says "A recipe has no soul. You as the cook must bring soul to the recipe" Therefore at Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the talented and experienced chefs always cook with their souls.
