Ramadan Buffet 2025, Full blast of Grill & Flavors (Aroma Nusantara) at Dorsett Grand Subang

Live Cooking Stations of traditional aromas instead of the food that is prepared hours ago makes a lot of difference! Yes, at Dorsett Grand Subang, my favorite cooking station this time is the steamed fish. Steamed fish need to be eaten piping hot, and Ramadan Buffet at Dorsett Grand Subang has it just right!

This year 2025, Dorsett Grand Subang Dorsett Grand Subang invites you to a grand feast that’s anything but ordinary. The Aroma Nusantara Ramadan buffet of 2025, running from 3rd March to 30th March 2025, this special occasion turns iftar into a delightful feast - bringing flavours, aromas, and traditions together in a truly memorable way.

Seafood on Ice

The moment the evening call to prayer echoes, guests will discover a carefully curated journey through the archipelago's richest flavours and be welcomed by the sight of glistening fresh Seafood on Ice, setting the stage for an unforgettable iftar experience. The beloved (and our Ramadan Star) Gear Box Soup, is simmered for hours until the marrow melts into a rich, aromatic broth that offers the perfect beginning to break one's fast. While the buffet's crown jewel is its selection of Steamed Fish, featuring premium catches like threadfin, white pomfret, and tilapia.

"Ramadan is a time of reflection, gratitude, and coming together. Our Aroma Nusantara buffet is crafted to honour these values through a feast that speaks to both the heart and palate," says Sous Chef, Shabani Md Akhir, whose team has masterfully woven together the threads of tradition and innovation. Another must-try is the Roasted Baby Lamb, that perfectly spiced and tender, showcasing flavours passed down through generations. Comes together with Mandi Rice, as well as Chicken Shawarma.

Spicy Chili Clams : My fave!

Fresh big juicy Prawns cooked in curry- Must eat this!

No detail has been overlooked in this culinary tapestry, from the smoky aroma of  Chicken and Beef Satay to the rainbow of traditional kuih-muih that brightens the dessert section. Nearby, the nostalgic crackle and sizzle of Goreng-Gorengan stations fill the air that evokes memories of Ramadan bazaars with the irresistible freshly fried banana fritters and crispy sweet potato wedges.

What I like most are these live cooking stations! We can taste immediately the food that is cooked piping hot. It so bring an exciting touch to the experience, as chefs turn fresh ingredients into delicious creations right in front of guests.

A Thoughtful Approach to Traditional Indulgence

Nowadays, we are more health conscious and people pays a lot of attention to their food especially sugar intake. Thus, Dorsett Grand Subang has partnered with the Ministry of Health Malaysia's Less Sugar Campaign; reimagining traditional sweetness through a lens of mindful consumption. Cute information cubes grace each table, sharing insights about sugar content in our desserts, while the dessert station itself showcases kuih-muih and confections crafted with reduced sugar – proving that tradition can embrace modern health consciousness without sacrificing flavour.
